Fields of Activities
The specific Programme is developed for the Government and established in a common agreement with the Institute. The priorities and specificities of the Government are thus widely taken into account.
The Courses’ topics can be the ones as suggested hereunder. The themes are then adapted to the national needs. Other topics can be considered upon a proposal of the Government.

New Economies Industrial and Economic Development

Facing a difficult transition to a modern open-market economy: curbing violent crime, fighting the mafias, securing and sustaining foreign investors and stimulating economic activity and trade; obtaining international financing for economic reforms and infrastructure development.
New oil-producing countries: negotiation of production-sharing arrangements with foreign firms, long-term oilfield development, generating funds needed to spur diversified industrial development, adapting economic reforms, and replacing old economic ties and structures.
Oil-based Economies: taking advantage of the oil price, encouraging private sector growth to lessen dependence on oil, diversify the national Economy, investing in renewable Energy, increase employment opportunities for the population, creating hope for the youth, investing on job training, education and infrastructure development.
Water for Growth and Development. Among the objectives of these Courses: to take roots at the regional level, to determine the most relevant challenges faced by every Region, analyze the constraints and deficiencies faced by actors and institutions and review innovative processes that successfully address the issues. Main topics are: Implementing Integrated Water Resources Management, Water Supply, Waste Water Management, Water for Food and Environment, Risk Management, Models for Financing Water Infrastructure at the regional and local levels, Capacity-Building, and Social Learning.

Main topics: how to create a good governance aimed at ICT development, to better understand the global trends of information and communication technologies and how they are related to development strategies, to be aware of new products, services and solutions, to catch up with the best pratices and share experiences, how to build necessary capacities, how to mobilize resources for ICT development.
